How to Recognize Suspicious Messages or Scams

Your safety is our priority. Scammers often pretend to be “support agents,” “boosters,” or “verification bots” to steal login information or money. This guide explains how to identify fake messages and what to do if someone contacts you outside Overpowered.gg.

1. Overpowered.gg will NEVER contact you outside the platform

If someone messages you on:

  • Discord DMs

  • Instagram

  • Email

  • WhatsApp

  • In-game chat

  • Social media

…and claims to be from Overpowered.gg — it’s 100% fake.

All real communication happens ONLY through:

  • The order chat

  • Official support system

  • Overpowered.gg’s official Discord ticket system

  • Email from our official domain (for receipts and confirmations only)

We never contact you “out of nowhere.”

2. Real boosters never ask for extra contact

A legitimate booster will NEVER:

  • Add you on Discord

  • Ask for your email password

  • Request your phone number

  • Ask to “verify your login via chat”

  • Ask for payment outside OP

  • Ask for screenshots of sensitive data

If someone asks for this, it’s a scam — immediately report it.

3. Common scam messages to ignore

If you see anything like this, it’s fake:

  • “Your account needs verification, send your email password.”

  • “I’m your booster, message me on Discord instead.”

  • “Support needs your credit card details to confirm the order.”

  • “Your boost is delayed, pay an extra fee here.”

  • “Click this link to claim your reward.”

  • “Free RP / VP / Coins if you verify ownership.”

Real support NEVER asks for private or financial information.

4. Fake links and URLs

Scammers often send links that look similar to Overpowered.gg.

Examples of fake URLs:

If the URL is not exactly overpowered.gg, ignore it.

When in doubt → always check with our support team.

5. “Verification Codes” sent to your email

If you receive an email with a code and you did not try to log in:

  • Do NOT share the code

  • Do NOT click links

  • Do NOT approve the login

This usually means someone tried to access your account.

Immediately:

  • Change your password

  • Re-enable 2FA

  • Contact our support if unsure

6. Never share these details with anyone

Boosters and support will NEVER ask for:

  • Email password

  • Bank information

  • Phone number

  • Recovery questions

  • Backup email access

  • Full screenshots of account settings

  • Personal documents

If someone asks → it’s a scam.

7. How to confirm if a message is real

You can verify legitimacy by checking:

  • Does it come from the order chat?

  • Does the email come from @overpowered.gg?

If not — assume it's fake until proven otherwise.

8. What to do if you received a suspicious message

  1. Do NOT reply

  2. Do NOT click any links

  3. Do NOT send screenshots of sensitive info

  4. Report it immediately through:

    • Live Chat

    • Discord Ticket

    • Support Ticket (Dashboard)

We’ll investigate and help secure your account if needed.
